Dental Care for an Elderly Parent
Friendly staff, treat you like family! Been going for 30 years. Love this office.
I have some of the worst anxiety when it comes to anything dental/dentist and after meeting Dr.Thoms and his awesome crew they assured me all would be easy and smooth. You will have to get thru your own fears leading up to the appointment but once you do and you’re in their care before you know it, it’s time to leave. I hope Thoms had another 20-25 years in him because that’s my go to guy from here on out!
Great place. Dr Thoms was wonderful, and checked in later in the day to see how I was doing—despite being about to catch a flight, he wanted to make sure I was alright. The nurses were lovely and very accommodating. Thanks for making my wisdom teeth removal under anesthesia so “painless”!
My dental appointment was absolutely amazing! Dr. Behl and Laina performed a thorough examination and cleaning! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Response from the owner:Thank you for your kind review! We appreciate your feedback and are glad you had a positive experience.
I highly recommend the Dental Anesthesia Center. The best dental care, knowledgeable, efficient, state of the art facilities, friendly, painless, AWESOME! Laina is my hygienist and she is very thorough!! Dr Hoffmann has always done my dental work and he is truly amazing, I never feel a thing!
Response from the owner:Ann, Thank you so much for your kind review! I'm glad to hear that you have had such a pleasant experience! The Dental Anesthesia Center

Reduces Dental Anxiety and Fear

Dental anxiety is common among elderly patients, particularly those who have had negative experiences in the past. Sedation dentistry helps alleviate these fears, allowing seniors to undergo treatments without stress or anxiety. [Cleveland Clinic]

Provides Comfort for Patients with Medical Conditions

Many elderly patients have medical conditions such as arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, or dementia that make sitting still for extended periods challenging. Sedation ensures comfort and minimizes discomfort during dental procedures. [Mayo Clinic]

Facilitates Complex Dental Procedures

Elderly patients often require extensive dental work, including dentures, implants, and gum treatments. Sedation allows for multiple procedures to be completed in a single visit, reducing the need for repeated appointments. [WebMD]

Enhances Safety and Reduces Pain

Sedation dentistry minimizes pain and ensures patient safety by reducing involuntary movements. This is especially important for seniors with limited mobility or cognitive impairments. [American Dental Association]

Encourages Regular Dental Visits

For many seniors, the fear of discomfort or pain can lead to avoiding dental visits altogether. Sedation dentistry encourages regular check-ups by providing a pain-free and anxiety-free experience, promoting better oral health. [Healthline]
